Newpasol 103

Category:

Inactivated vaccine (W/O) contains Newcastle Disease Virus Strain V4+ Avian Influenza Virus subtype H9N2 + Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) that is emulsified in oil adjuvant for stimulating strong and long-lasting immunity against Newcastle Disease, Avian Influenza- H9N2 and IBD.

Description

Newpasol 103® Ingredients:

Newcastle Disease and Avian Influenza viral components of Newpasol l03® are cultured on embryonated SPF eggs and subsequently are inactivated by using Formalin. Infectious Bursal Disease viral component is cultured in vitro in cell culture which is subsequently neutralized with Formalin. By this method, viruses lose their infectivity but retain immune-inducing capabilities. The inactivated viruses are mixed and added to the oil adjuvant. Finally, emulsification takes place for the preparation of the vaccine.

The content:

The amount of virus needed to induce immunity at each dose is dependent on the 50 percent Egg Infective Dose (EID50) or 50 percent Tissue Culture Infective Dose (TCID50) before Formalin inactivation. The minimum EID50 or TCID50 required for each virus is described below:

Newcastle Disease Virus strain V4  ………………    108.5 EID50

Avian Influenza, subtype H9N2 ……………..           107.5 EID50

Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (Strain Name???) ……………….          106 TCID50

Indications:

Newpasol 103® is a trivalent vaccine for the prevention of Newcastle Disease, Avian influenza (subtype H9N2), and Infectious Bursal Disease.

Dosage and Administration:

In one to seven-day-old chickens, the vaccine may only be administered subcutaneously in the neck whereas, in older chickens, the product may be administered by either subcutaneous or intramuscular routes by using 0.2 ml.

For better injectability, keep the vaccine at ambient temperature for three to four hours before vaccination. Shake the vaccine bottle well before use. Better results will be obtained if the container is shaken intermittently during vaccination. All instruments must be sterilized before injection.

Warnings and Precautions:

  1. The immune response will be improved if the chickens are healthy and not stressed.
  2. A small but transient complication may be observed at the site of injection.
  3. The Chickens’ feed intake is not affected by this vaccine. Should there be a change in the chickens’ feed intake, the causes must be identified.
  4. This product is for veterinary use only.

Storage:

Store at 2 to 8 °C and away from direct light. Avoid storage below 0 °C or in direct contact with ice. Keep the vaccine at ambient temperature three to four hours before vaccination. The contents of each bottle should be used within 24 hours from the start of vaccination and any remaining vaccine should be discarded as soon as possible.

Presentation:

Newpasol 103® is provided in 500 ml polypropylene bottles containing 2500 doses if 0.2 ml is injected.
